Among other people, there are about half a dozen men and women who are convinced they have done wrong in the past, but we do not know what they did or why they did what they think or know they did. The men are very handsome and the women are beautiful. One man, for example, ended his long-standing relationship with a woman because she did something about which we know nothing. Strangely, he is constantly thinking about her. Why? She also thinks about him daily and pursues him. Why? He becomes attached to a woman ten years younger than he is, 36 years old. She likes him very much, but is afraid he will find out what she is trying to hide. Why? Someone is stalking her. In each instance, we do not know “why.” There is at least one person in the tale who may be involved in doing wrong, but may only be a red herring. The story is filled with surprises and suspense and is quite interesting.
